You can start as a guest without providing an email. Guest sessions, timer state and preferences are stored on our servers under a temporary guest identity. When you choose sync, we store your email and verified sign-in details. Existing password accounts keep their hashed password. A random device identifier keeps free timers separate after the sync trial. Device tokens are used only for your Live Activities when configured.

We store account trial dates and verified App Store transaction identifiers, product, purchase date and refund status to manage lifetime sync. Apple handles payments; Cadence does not receive your card details. Purchases are not yet available in this beta. Deleting your Cadence account does not refund an Apple purchase.

Data is hosted by Vercel and Neon. Resend delivers sign-in verification codes to your email address. Credentials are held in secure browser cookies or iOS Keychain. Cadence does not sell your data or include advertising trackers.

You can export your sessions or permanently delete your account from Settings. For security, account deletion requires a recent sign-in. This beta supports email verification codes and existing passwords. Sign in with Apple is available only when its Apple Developer configuration is enabled.

Live Activities and notifications are optional. Their delivery and visibility are controlled by iOS.
